In Aarhus, we have two ice rinks - both indoor and outdoor.

The indoor ice rink – Århus Skøjtehal

Århus Skøjtehal welcomes everyone to a fun experience at the city's best indoor ice rink. Rental ice skates are available.

Opening hours for Aarhus Skøjtehal - 2009/2010 season ends 28 March 2010:

Ticket sales end 30 minutes before closing time.

There are extended opening hours in the autumn holiday (week 42), Christmas holidays and winter holidays (week 7).

Ice Disco

Come to an Ice Disco at Århus Skøjtehal with lights, music and smoke-effects.

Date for Ice Disco:

• Friday the 26th March 2010 kl. 20:00 to 23:00

NOTE: There is no admittance for people under the age of 12 years at the Ice Disco.

NOTE: Children under 4 years have free admittance to the ice rink.

Purchase of monthly and 3-monthly passes – please remember to bring a form of identification, and one passport sized photograph.

Monthly and 3-monthly passes do not include admittance to the Ice Disco evenings.

If you rent 12 pairs of skates or more, you qualify for a discount of 10%. The same applies for skate sharpening.

NOTE: There is no admittance for people under the age of 12 years at the Ice Disco.

The outdoor skating rink - Isbanen ved Musikhuset

Feel the colour in your cheeks and the wind in your hair at the free outdoor ice rink at Musikhuset! If you do not own ice skates, rentals are available for use on the rink.  Credit card payments are not accepted at the skate rental centre. The rink can be used for most of the day and is free of charge to use.
PLEASE NOTE:  Skate rental availability is restricted to opening hours, and be aware the ice is prepared each morning between 07.00 and 10.00, during which machinery is in use on the rink and skating is not permitted.

* Wednesday between 10.00 and 12.00 the rink is reserved for children and adolescents.

Rental of skates ends 30 minutes before closing time.  Skates must be returned before closing time on the same day of hiring.

By hiring more than 12 pairs of skates, receive a discount of 10%.

PLEASE NOTE!   Credit card payments are not accepted.

You must remember a form of identification, to be used as a deposit when renting skates.

The outdoor ice rink, Isbanen, is located between Musikhuset and the Aarhus Rådhus (City Hall).  It is only 5 minutes walk from Aarhus Train Station, making it easy to travel to by public transport. Parking facilities are available at the SAS Radisson, Scandinavian Center. Alternatively, there are larger car parks located in the centre of town.
